E Drake and Associates, incorporated at the end of 2012 and started operations in January of 2013. Founded in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, its mission is to help alleviate further heartbreak caused by coastal flooding in the southwest region of Suffolk County.

My name is Emmett Drake (“Tyson”). I am a fifth-generation Long Island house mover and the namesake of this company. For many years I was the president of Emmett Drake and Sons Inc., a Long Island-based house moving company.

I started working in house moving full time in 1969, after college and service in Viet Nam in the USMC, and never looked back. Prior to that, I had worked holidays in the family business since high school. I have fifty plus years of experience in this industry, more than almost anybody on Long Island.

Shortly after Sandy, I was approached by well-known local contractor Fred Nosk to form a house raising business to help the people in our area who had had their homes damaged. Combining our skills, and with an eye towards honesty and competence, we built E Drake and Associates into what it is today.

We are equipped to raise the largest, most complicated homes. We are familiar with all types of construction – from masonry to wood frame to slab and “beach” construction: we/I have seen and handled it all.
